My Mom wrote me a sweet email last night telling me how she enjoyed my blog. She said she loves to see how icons travel from her 20s to my 20s. It is interesting. In my opinion, they just don't make music like they used to and it makes me sad. BUT there are a lot of musicians that I can say I'm proud came from my days.
Counting Crows
NIN
The White Stripes
Tool
Adele
Ben Harper
Down
John Butler Trio
Jamey Johnson
Miranda Lambert
Paramore
Ray Lamontagne
Serena Ryder
Taylor Swift

Domination explains it all
Please bleed, so I know that you are real,
so I know that you can feel the damage that you've done
oh who have i become
“People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that's bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they're afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they're wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It's all in how you carry it. That's what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you're letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain.”
Jim Morrison

I listen to my words but
They fall far below
I let my music take me where
My heart wants to go..
"Do you want me to tell you something really subversive?
Love really is all it's cracked up to be.
That's why people are so cynical about it.
It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for,
and the trouble is, if you don't risk everything,
you risk even more."
Erica Jong
I love Stevie Nicks
Definition of passion:
Anita Pallenburg is quite interesting...here with Keith Richards
and here with Mick Jagger
Anita Pallenberg (born 25 January 1944, Rome, Italy) is an Italian-born actress, model, and fashion designer. She was the romantic partner of Rolling Stones multi-instrumentalist and guitarist Brian Jones and later the partner of the guitarist of the same band Keith Richards, from 1967 to 1979, by whom she has two surviving children.
What a gem!
I am lucky enough to go back to California (yes, that's 2x in one month). I got a little smart and decided to have our engagement photo shoot on Laguna beach, why not? So I found this amazing photographer who does work like so:
YAY!
Problem is, I can't decide what to wear! Steve and I are pretty sure we want to keep it casual. We are casual people after all. But the choices are endless! I was thinking something like this:
I found these shirts, which I fell in love with:
So I'm thinking I will wear a white or ivory shirt and Steve will wear a long sleeve polo, white or light colored. We can wear jeans and sandals. I'm so excited! Here is the spot I picked out on my first trip to Cali...
Hi! I decided to start my own blog because I enjoy reading other blogs and I like to be creative. Right now I have a lot going on in my life: I got engaged in October and will be married (AHH!) in July. Planning is super fun and brings out my imagination quite a bit. Here is a little of the inspirations I've gathered in my wedding planning days.
Mostly, my blog will be pictures, music, opinions and people that I like/inspire me.
